1 minute read

Almost everything is a distraction.

Endlessly scrolling as a form of procrastination.

Adding new features to an app that doesn’t have a really strong core loop.

Rewriting a pitch deck.

Reading the news.

These all make me feel productive but really I’m just wasting time.

I need to validate the ideas that I have in the market. I need real people to use them, and learn what they love about my ideas.

I don’t need to make a product more complicated.

I don’t need to stop working on my current project and work on the next shiny thing.

That’s why I don’t feel like reading is a waste of time.

Because all I want to do is to learn and stay focused on one thing for a long time.

I’m admiring the confidence that I’ve gotten from sticking to one thing for a long time and becoming excellent.

I’m not lost any more.
