WIP: HTML Keyboard

1 minute read

I’ve always wondered how Terry Davis got stuck on Temple OS and I think I’ve started to see how firsthand.

Yesterday I created something called /dev/null, which lets you write a letter to someone that you don’t actually want to send to them. And then you can shred it after. I started playing with some HTML controls for it and am going down a skeumorphism rabbit hole.

I started working on an HTML keyboard a few hours ago.

I’ve worked on a few terminal emulators before for different game projects, but they were always missing a little bit of immersion.

I think adding a keyboard below the terminal that fires as you’re pressing buttons might be an interesting little addition to a game and I’m going to experiment with it further.

Anyway, check out the current version of the keyboard, which is totally a WIP.
